This week’s theme is opposites, so it’s an awesome opportunity to start teaching the children about musical dynamics – loud and soft, fast and slow, high and low. And we'll stretch them with some more musical terminology too!

The children are learning about shapes in this lesson. We'll tap on the different shapes with drumsticks, sing the Hokey Pokey, make circles with different parts of our bodies, and learn a new song in Zulu!

It's a very exciting week at playschool, because we have a few cute and fluffy friends joining us, but first they'll need to hatch out of their eggs! So our music lesson is all about eggs, chicks, and cute baby animals.
This week's theme is colours, so to help the children learn their colours, we'll sing the Fruit Salad Ballad. We'll also repeat Oh My Darling Valentine with the rhythm sticks. And just for fun, we'll sing "Big Family of God", "Rain, rain go away" and "Red light, red light".
It's Valentine's Day, so we'll sing and dance to songs about love, accompanied by the rhythm sticks. We're also learning about our pets, so we'll sing B-I-N-G-O.
The theme for the week is My House. We're going to clip-clop with castanets and pretend a horse is taking us home to our houses.
Today we're going to be learning about our families, so we'll sing some songs and do some dances that are all about our brothers, sisters, moms, dads, and the "Big Family of God"!
It's wonderful to see the kids starting to make friends. In this lesson, we meet a new friend called Shaky, and then listen and sing some friendship songs.
In the first lesson of the year, we learnt a new welcome song, made circles with different parts of the body, danced to "Beautiful Me" and sang one of last year's favourites, Our God is a Great Big God.
